This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the acceptable and prohibited use of broadband internet services provided by Stromnet Broadband (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
This policy is designed to:
Protect the integrity of our network
Ensure legal compliance under Indian laws
Prevent misuse of internet services
Protect other users from harm
By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
2. Legal Compliance
Users must comply with all applicable Indian laws, including but not limited to:
Information Technology Act, 2000
Indian Penal Code
TRAI and DoT regulations
Copyright Act, 1957
Cybercrime laws
Any violation may result in suspension or termination of services and reporting to authorities.
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
A. Illegal Activities
Hacking, phishing, or identity theft
Unauthorized access to systems or networks
Distribution of malware, viruses, or spyware
Online fraud or financial scams
Cyber terrorism or extremist content
B. Copyright & Piracy Violations
Downloading or sharing pirated movies, software, games, or music
Torrenting copyrighted content illegally
Hosting or distributing copyrighted material without permission
C. Network Abuse
Sending spam emails (bulk unsolicited messages)
Running open mail relays
Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
Excessive bandwidth abuse beyond fair usage
D. Commercial Misuse
Reselling internet services without written authorization
Using residential connection for commercial ISP redistribution
E. Harmful or Offensive Content
Child exploitation content
Obscene or illegal content
Hate speech or threats
Harassment or cyberbullying
4. Fair Usage & Network Integrity
To ensure quality service for all users:
Users must not engage in abnormal or excessive data usage that disrupts network stability.
Use of automated bots, traffic generators, or bandwidth manipulation tools is prohibited.
Servers (hosting, gaming, VPN resale, etc.) are not allowed on residential plans unless approved.
5. Security Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
Securing their Wi-Fi network with strong passwords
Preventing unauthorized access
Installing antivirus and firewall protection
Ensuring their devices are not compromised
The customer is fully responsible for all activity originating from their connection.
6. Monitoring & Enforcement
Stromnet Broadband reserves the right to:
Monitor network traffic for security and compliance
Investigate suspected violations
Suspend or terminate service without prior notice
Cooperate with law enforcement agencies
We do not monitor the content of communications unless legally required.
7. Violation Consequences
If a user violates this AUP:
Warning notice may be issued
Temporary suspension may occur
Permanent termination without refund
Legal action may be taken
Information may be shared with government authorities
8. Reporting Abuse
If you believe someone is misusing our network, report immediately:

9. Policy Updates
This AUP may be updated at any time. Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
10. Acceptance
By subscribing to or using Stromnet Broadband services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Acceptable Use Policy.
