1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of broadband internet services provided by Stromnet Broadband (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and the use of our website www.stromnetbroadband.com.
By applying for, subscribing to, or using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
2. Service Eligibility
The applicant must provide valid identity and address proof (KYC).
The customer must be at least 18 years old.
Services are subject to technical feasibility and network availability in Kolkata and surrounding areas.
3. Service Installation
Installation will be scheduled after successful document verification and payment.
Installation charges, if applicable, are non-refundable.
The customer must provide safe and proper access for equipment installation.
Any civil work required inside the premises will be the customer’s responsibility.
4. Plans & Billing
All broadband plans are prepaid unless otherwise stated.
Charges must be paid in advance before the billing cycle begins.
GST and applicable taxes will be charged as per Government regulations.
Prices and plans may be revised with prior notice.
5. Payment Terms
Payments must be made before the due date to avoid service interruption.
Late payments may result in:
Temporary suspension of services
Late fees (if applicable)
Reconnection charges may apply after suspension.
6. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Subscription fees once paid are generally non-refundable.
In case of service non-feasibility before installation, paid amounts may be refunded after deductions.
Security deposits (if any) will be refunded after equipment return and clearance of dues.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees:
Not to misuse the internet connection for illegal activities.
Not to resell or share the connection commercially without written permission.
Not to engage in hacking, spamming, phishing, piracy, or unlawful downloads.
To maintain safety of company-installed equipment.
To inform the company in case of relocation.
Any misuse may result in immediate termination without refund.
8. Fair Usage Policy (FUP)
Broadband speeds may be subject to Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limits as per selected plan.
After FUP limit, speed may be reduced as defined in the plan details.
Unlimited plans are subject to fair and reasonable usage.
9. Service Downtime
While we strive for uninterrupted service, Stromnet Broadband shall not be liable for:
Network downtime due to maintenance
Power failures
Fiber cuts
Natural disasters
Technical faults beyond our control
Scheduled maintenance will be informed whenever possible.
10. Equipment & Ownership
Modem/Router provided on rental remains company property.
Damaged or unreturned equipment will be chargeable.
The customer must return company equipment upon service termination.
11. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if:
Terms are violated
Illegal usage is detected
Non-payment of dues
Misrepresentation of information
Customers may request disconnection by providing written notice and clearing outstanding dues.
12. Limitation of Liability
Stromnet Broadband shall not be liable for:
Loss of data
Loss of business revenue
Indirect or consequential damages
Cyber-attacks or third-party breaches
Users are advised to maintain proper antivirus and firewall protection.
13. Privacy
Customer data is handled as per our Privacy Policy available on www.stromnetbroadband.com.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
15. Amendments
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website.
